Nokia logo redesign and identity manual

A complete redesign of Nokia's logo and branding. The logo has several iterations for ease of use, and the identity manual lays out the guidelines of how to use the new logo and its related branding. There are also new business cards, envelope designs, stationary, and more.

These were created for a class assignment.

SkyWest ad series

A series of 3 magazine advertisements, designed to promote SkyWest's airline services.

This series of promotional items sets the airline apart from its competitors by presenting the viewer with attitude, energy, and an overall implication of fun. Since most other airline ads are boring and forgettable, I thought it'd be a good idea to be a little more in-your-face and edgy. The viewer is initially surprised by the ad, which then prompts them to pay more attention to it.

The series includes 3 posters, 2 billboards, and a standee/window sticker.

These were created for a class assignment.

Game magazine special feature

A title page and 2 story pages from an imaginary game magazine.

My intention with this project was to create the look and feel of a real-life game magazine, complete with page templates (such as the title on top and page number on the bottom), preferred fonts, review boxes, and so on. These elements would be able to be used throughout the magazine to create a unified look and consistent "navigation" for the reader.

"Southwest Fiesta" menu

A 4-page menu design for a fictional Tex/Mex restaurant.

In this project (which was a class assignment) I made the organization and text clearly defined and easy to read, yet also kept a consistent style with the logo and the menu text through the use of a single stylish font family.

"Smoking Ban" magazine spread

A design for a 4-page magazine spread.

By creating a unified look and feel, the article presents a consistent style to readers.

"Double-Click Geek Ale" product label

This logo was designed for a (fictional) brewery. The drink is meant to appeal to the "geek" crowd, appealing to their sense of humor and desire for the unique.

It also embraces an absurd, self-deprecating sense of humor.

Program Used:

Adobe Illustrator

"Angry Cactus" DVD packaging

Box art for a live concert DVD of a fictional band.

The design emphasizes the band's aggressive, southwestern style with interesting imagery and sparse coloration on the outside.

"Technology" newspaper section front page

The first page of a technology newspaper.

This page uses a clean style combined with intriguing imagery to draw the reader's attention, and provide them with a quick glance of what's inside.
